Kinugasayama Park (衣笠山公園, kinugasayamakouen) is one of the 100 best hanami spots in Japan located in Yokosuka, Kanagawa. It has about 2,000 Sakura (Cherry Blossom) and tell Miura Peninsula the arrival of Spring. At the end of March to begining of April, there is Sakura festival, and many people visit here for Hanami party. During this period, there are many lanterns, and they are up until the morning. This park is also ruins of Kinugasa Castle. At the top of the mountain, there is observation stand where you can see great view of Yokosuka, and Tokyo bay.

There is parking but closed during the sakura festival. Restrooms are avalable.

1. use JR Yokosuka Line toKinugasa Station( 4 min.)
2. walk south (20 min.)

Hanami at Kinugasayama Park will be little easier conpare to have one in Tokyo. You can visit here even after 10 am, still you will be able to find great hanami spots. There is light up at night, so you can have a hanami party all day long. There are many performances during the sakura festival. There are many public restrooms. Also, many food stands are ready to serve you. So, even you have eaten all of your food, you can still get some food and keep doing hanami party.
