Hiking at Mt. Kanegatake (鐘ヶ嶽ハイキング) is one of the nice one-day hiking spots of Kanagawa Prefecture. It is about 561m tall and takes about 4 hours of a round trip. The entire mountain is a shrine and temple in the old time. Therefore, you can see many Buddhist statues. Also, this mountain was used to be a castle in the 15th century.

Nanasawa Castle was constructed in 1450 by Noritada Uesugi the governor of the Kanto Region. This castle was abandoned during the end of the 16th century by the Odawara Hojo clan.
