Iwasaki Castle

Iwasaki Castle (岩崎城) is a hilltop castle located in Aichi. It was built in 1528 by Oda Nobuhide, the father of Nobunaga. Later, it was taken by Mikawa Matsudaira. In 1538, Niwa Ujikiyo moved this castle and this castle was ruled by Niwa clan until 1600. Today, Tensyukaku was reconstructed and gardens, dry moat and stone walls are well preserved.

Iwasaki Castle was built in 1528-1531 by Oda Nobuhide.

In 1584, at the battle of Komaki Nagakute, Niwa Ujishige and his 300 samurai defeated Ikeda Nobuyoshi and helped the victory of the Union of Oda Nobukatsu and Tokugawa Ieyasu.

Castle contains Honmaru, Ninomaru, East and West baileys. The moat and walls are well preserved.
