Powerful Farmer's House

Kashiwakura House (柏倉家住宅) is one of the traditional houses located in Yamagata Prefecture. The main house is constructed in 1783. Kashiwakura family was a very powerful farmer in this area. Therefore, this house has many beautiful structures that you can see the rich components during this period.

There are parking and restroom.
Admission: 500 Yen. Free under Junior high.
Time: 10:00 to 16:00 (last entry 15:30)
Open: Weekends and holidays.

Kashiwara House is one of the most powerful farmer's houses in Yamagata Prefecture. It is registered as an important cultural asset. The main house is constructed in 1783. There are many Kura, the storage that contains Buddhist grave with very rich arts. It has also a beautiful Japanese garden too.
