Ehime Prefecture (愛媛県) is one of consistants of Shikoku Island. It is located on north-west of Shikoku Island. Northern Ehime faces Seto Inland Sea. Therefore, it has very warm weather with few rain. Southern Ehime faces Uwa Sea. This area has many rain. There is Mt. Ishizuchi, the highest mountain in western Japan and many high mountains in eastern side. Dogo Onsen, that is chosen for 2 stars of the Michelin Guide, is one of the best Onsen in Japan. Also, there are many historic site in Ehime. Especially, Matsuyama castle and Uwajima castle are the exisited original castles since Sengoku period. It has all kinds of sea activities on seaside area that offers also great sea foods. Also, the mountain side offers great hiking to enjoy nature. Jakoten and Iyokan are popular delicacy of Ehime.
