Hagi Castle (萩城址) is a hilltop castle located in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. It was constructed in 1604 by Mori Terumoto. The entire site is registered as a national historical site and a UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There are many structures of the castle such as Tensu hill, the tea house and the eastern garden. It is also known as Cherry blossom spot has 600 Sakura trees.
Horiuchi Samurai Residence (萩市堀内地区) is a high-rank Samurai residence of Hagi Castle located in Hagi, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Hagi Castle was constructed in 1608 by Mori Terumoto. This residence is a part of the 3rd bailey of the castle. There are many Samurai houses and their structures such as the gates, walls, and buildings, especially you can enjoy buildings high-rank Samurai houses. Especially, Samurai House Walls are the main feature of this spot. This area is registered as the Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings.
Asa Mori Clan Apartment (旧厚狭毛利家萩屋敷長屋) is one of the Samurai Apartments located in Hagi, Yamaguchi Prefecture. It was constructed in 1856 and the largest Samurai House remaining in Hagi. You can see the real Samurai Apartment residence.
