Ishiguro House is the oldest Samurai House in Kakunodate. It is also the highest class of Samurai House as well. From the out side, it has great black walls with large gate. There is Samurai window. The house has Kayabuki style building. The gate was built in 1809. The gate, wall, house and storage are all remains since Edo period.
Ishiguro House is the only Samurai House that visitors can step in the house with a guide. The garden has over 250 years old Sakura and Maples.
