Katsuyama (真庭市勝山) is Edo Style town located in Maniwa city, Okayama. There are many traditional houses remains since Edo Period. Also, there are several Samurai related houses, such as Samurai House, and house built by the last Daimyo. The historical site of Katsuyama is the first registered scenery to preserved the Edo style look in Okayama Prefecture. It offers great Edo walking.

Katsuyama Preserved Scenery
... is the street with many Edo Style Houses. This historical site of Katsuyama is the first registered scenery to preserved the Edo style look in Okayama Prefecture. It offers great Edo walking. This street was used to be a part of Izumo Road. This street is also popular for its Noren. All the shops has their unique Noren.

Katsuyama Samurai House
... is a remaining Samurai House of Katsuyama. It is located in Maniwa city, Okayama Pref. This house was built in 1764 for Watanabe Family. Watanabe family was Samurai with 160 koku which is very high class for Samurai. They became one of Karo for Katsuyama domain. The house is preserved in great condition and in Kura, the storage, their armors and weapons are displayed.

Kamba Falls
... is one of 100 best Japanese waterfalls located in Okayama Prefecture. It has 110m high and 20m wide. It is very beautiful waterfalls with nature. In Autumn, the valley around the waterfalls will colored with beautiful Autumn leaves. There are wild monkeys live around this falls, and they sometimes appears at this falls. It is also registered as 100 best Japanese sceneries.

Katsuyama Miura House
... is a traditional house located in Katsuyama, Maniwa. It was built by the last lord of Miura clan of Katsuyama right after the Meiji Restoration. It remains the great architecture of Japanese house in Meiji period. There is a restaurant which offers great local food of Katsuyama. There are many beautiful flowers such as, Hydrangea, Azalea, Sakura and Tsubaki. You can also enjoy beautiful Autumn leaves in Fall.

Katsuyama Local Museum
... displays local treasures of Okayama. There are many stuffs from Sengoku period. Also, it displays many Tanizaki Junichiro related items. Mr. Tanizaki is the famouse novelist of Katsuyama.
