This was used to be a part of Kodokan which was Samurai School of Mito Domain. There are 60 kinds 800 Ume Trees in Kodokan and Kodokan Park.
Kodonkan Park is (弘道館公園) a park with full of Ume, Japanese Plum. In early spring, hundreds of Ume flowers bloom. Therefore, it is popular Ume spot in Mito area.
