Otsumago (大妻籠) is a small post town located between Tsumago-juku and Magome-juku. There are many traditional houses that show the time of Edo period. Some of the houses are over 300 years old. Traditional Hotels of post town are still serving travelers.
Tateba Tea House (立場茶屋) is located between Tsumago-juku and Magome-juku. This house was constructed in the late Edo period (19th century). For many years, this house has been used for resting place and even today.
Magome Juku (馬籠宿) is a old post town of nakasendo road located Nakatsugawa, Gifu. It was the 43rd post town from Edo. This post town remains and reconstructed the old look of Edo style post town, and is one of the popular tourist spots in Gifu, today. The houses are built in Edo style and the stone road are remains from the Edo period. There are lots of gift shops, food stands, museums and even hotels.
