April is the beginning of the Year in Japan. For schools and companies, they have freshmen. Hanami is the biggest welcome party for those new people. On the weekends with Sakura blooming, Hanami parties are held everywhere. Hanami party is enjoying Sakura with food and sake. Sakura, cherry blossom, is also the sign of arrival of Spring. After Sakura bloom, Japan gets warmer and warmer everyday.
