Iijima Jinya (飯島陣屋) is a branch office of Shogun Government located in Iijima, Nagano Prefecture. It is a fully restored building based on the actual blue print. This Jinya displays the life of Shogun officers during Edo period. This Jinya existed from 1677 to the end of Edo period for 190 years. All the items are real tools donated from the towns. You can touch all the items displayed here. So, you can feel the Samurai era by your body.

Admission: 300 yen for adult. 150 yen for under high school.
There is a group discount.
Time: 9:00 to 17:00 (last entry 16:30)
Closed on: Monday (or next holiday) 12/15 to 3/15

Iijima Jinya
Iijima and around this area was directly ruled by Shougn in Edo period. Jinya is the Shogun Government Office during the Edo period. This building is fully restored based on the exact blue print. Iijima Jinya was built in 1677. This area is a very important because it produces high-quality woods to Edo.

You can study all the works of Jinya and Shogun government officers. There are 8 rooms and a kitchen. There is a courtroom for the criminals. Also, the officer's room and accounting room. Jinya was the center of the area of southern Ina.
