Abt Pass

Travel Information

Abt Pass(アプトの道) is one of the popular hiking spot located in Annaka, Gunma Prefecture. It was used to be the railway, but today it was rebuilt as the hiking spot. It is 6km long pass with many old tunnel and bridges which are construted in 1893. You can walk on Megane Bridge that is one of the largest Brick Made Bridge in Japan. It is also very famous spot for Koyo.

There is parking.
No restroom.
The light will be shut down at 6:00 pm

Access
0. at Takasaki Station.
1. use JR Shinetsu Line to Yokokawa.
2. walk north (2 hours)

Abt Pass

Abt Pass is 6km long hiking course located in west end of Gunma Prefecture. It was used to be the railway. There are 10 tunnels and 3 bridges that are registered as the national important cultural assets.

The tunnels are over 100 years old. Walking in the tunnel has different attractions of hiking.
