Ebisuyama Kofuns

Ebisuyama Kofuns (蛭子山古墳群) is located in Yosano, Kyoto Prefecture. There are 8 different Kofuns in this place. The largest Kofun is about 145m long and 16m tall that is the 3rd largest Kofun at the side of the sea of Japan. These Kofuns were constructed in a late 3rd century. There is a museum that displays the relics found in this place. You can learn the ancient period of Tango region.

Closed on: Monday (Mar. to Nov.), Tuesday (Dec. to Feb.)

Ebisuyama Kofuns
Ebisuyama Kofun is located in Yosanocho Kofun Park, northern Kyoto Prefecture. There are 8 different Kofuns in this park. It is registered as the national the site. These Kofuns are constructed late 3rd century to the middle of 6th century.

Kofun 1
It is the largest Kofun here and 3rd largest Kofun in the side of Sea of Japan. It is 145m long and 16m tall. The researchers estimate this Kofun was for the head of this ancient. It has the 3 layers and the grave part was built by stones.

Kofun 4 to 7
It was constructed in Yayoi period before 3rd century.

Haniwa Mouseum
Haniwa is the earthenware that placed around and in Kofun. This museum displays many relics that found here. You can also study the ancient period of Japan.
