Eishoin Temple

Travel Information

Eishoin (永昌院) is Soto Buddhism temple of Yamanashi City. It was established in 1504 by Takeda Nobumasa. It has a great view of Mt. Fuji through Cherry Blossom. There are many historical cultural properties in this temple.

Access
0. at Enzan Station.
1. use JR Chuo Line to Yamanashishi Station.
2. walk south.

Eishoin Temple
Eisho-in temple was established by Takeda Nobumasa, the great grand father of Takeda Shingen, in 1504. The gate and the bell tower are very old buildings. It is located on 480m tall hill where has a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji and Kofu Basin. There is the grave of Nobuaki in this temple.

The bell was made in 1376.
