Iwaki City Museum of Folklore and Traditional Housing (いわき市暮らしの伝承郷) is the museum has 5 traditional houses that were removed from other places in Iwaki city. Some of them are over 150 years old. Also, there is a display of the culture and traditions of Iwaki city.

Tourist Info.
There are parking and a restroom.
Admission: 340 yen for adults, 220 yen for students, and 170 yen for under junior.
Time: 9:00 to 17:00 (Apr. to Sep.), 9:00 to 16:30 (Oct. to Mar.) Last entry 30 min. before the close.
Closed: Every Tuesday. When it's a holiday, it will be closed the next day.

1. use a local bus to Chuodaikashima.
2. walk for 5 min.

Constructed in 1879. There are 2 Tatami guest rooms, 4 rooms and 1 dart room.

-Takagi House-
Constructed in 1850. There are 2 Tatami guest rooms, 1 rooms and 1 dart room.

-Kawaguchi House-
Constructed in 1871. There are 2 Tatami guest rooms, 1 rooms and 1 dart room.

-Higuchi House-
Constructed in the middle of 19th century. There are 2 Tatami guest rooms, 1 rooms and 1 dart room.

-Haga House-
Constructed in the middle of 19th century. There are 2 Tatami guest rooms, 1 rooms and 1 dart room.
