Kanabiki Falls

Kanabiki Falls (金引の滝) is one of the 100 best Japanese waterfalls located in northern Kyoto Prefecture. It is 40m tall and 20m wide. There are also many waterfalls around the waterfalls.

There are parking and restroom.

Access
0. Nishi-Maizuru Station.
1. use Kyoto-Tango Line Miyamai Line to Miyatsu Station.
2. use Miyafuku Line to Miyamura Station.
3. walk west.

This waterfall was used to be the practice falls for Shugendo. It has a history of over 1,000 years. Many people including Samurai had been practice Takigyo here.

This waterfall has two different falls. Right on is called male falls, and left one is called female falls. There are also many other waterfalls from the parking to this waterfalls.
