Kinchakuda

Travel Information

Kinchakuda (巾着田) is the most famous Higanbana, red spider lily, in Kanto. It is located Hidaka city, Saitama prefecture. There are one million Hibanbana in this park. Higanbana bloom around the Autumn Equinox. During the season, all the garden of Higanbana become the beautiful red carpet.

There is a parking and restroom.
During the season, there are food stands which sale tasty local products.
Admission: 200 yen.

0. at Kawagoe Station.
1. use JR Kawagoe Line to Higashihanno (35 min.)
2. use Seibu Ikebukuro Line to Koma (5 min.)
3. walk east (15 min.)

Kinchakuda

Kinchakuda is a circle shaped park surrounded by Koma river. Because it looks like Kinchaku, Japanese old time wallet, it was named Kinchakuda.

Higanbana which bloom in the end of September is the most famous feature of this park. There are also many other beautiful flowers bloom in other season.

April: Sakura and Field mustard.
June: Hydrangea.
July: Lotus.
September: Higanbana, Mexican aster, Soba.

In Summer, you can also enjoy BBQ at the river.
