Koyo at Katsuo-ji (勝尾寺の紅葉) is also known as the one of the most beautiful Autumn leave in Osaka Prefecture. Katsuoji has a beautiful pond surrounding gardent that has a breathtaking view of entire temple with many beautiful Koyo Trees, such as Japanese Maples. Around the end of November, it has breathtaking Autumn leaves. The contrast of flaming color of Koyo and green of the forest is stunning.

There is parking and restroom.
Admission: 400 JPY for adult, 300 JPY for under Junior.
There is a group discount.
Time: 8:00 to 17:00 (weekday), to 17:30 (Sat.), to 18:00 (Holiday)
Season: Around the end of November.

Koyo at Katsuo-ji
Katsuo-ji Temple is one of the oldest temple located in Mino, Osaka Pref. It was established in 765 by Priest Zenchu and Zensan. Buddhist Monk Myokan carved the sacred Kannon Statue as the main script. He finished making the statue in August 18, therefore every 18th of a month becomes the Kannon's day. 6th Priest of this temple, Priest Gyojun healed the Emperor Seiwa from his sickness.
After his recovery, the Emperor granted the priest the use of the name of "Katsu Ou Ji." It means that the temple that triumphs over His Imperial Highness. Since then, Katsuoji has been highly respected by people.
