Saito House (盛岡斎藤家住宅) is the old farmer's house located in Morioka, Iwate Pref. It was constructed in late Edo period. It is a rectangular building with the stable for horse inside of this house. The famous writer, Ishikawa Takuboku stayed this house.

Admission: Free (Ishikawa Takuboku Museum is 300 yen)
Closed: Monday. When Monday is Holiday, next day will be closed. Year end and new years days.

Morioka Saito House
Old Saito House is one of the traditional houses located in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture. It was used to be a hotel for the travelers during the Edo period. This house was constructed in the late Edo period. It is a two stories rectangular building. Just like other house of Tohoku region where the winter is very cold, it has a stable inside of the house.

The size of the house is 6.6m wide and 18m deep.

In 1906, famous write Ishikawa Takuboku stayed at this house when he was a teacher of the school.
