Mt.Jizo of Zao (蔵王地蔵山) is one of mountains of Zao. The altitude of the top is 1736m. It has a great view of Yamagata area. In winter the trees around the top form Juhyo, aka Ice monster. It is one of the most popular scenery of Japanese winter. There is a ropeway to reach the top. Because it has a ski resort on this mountain, it is very easy access to the top. Therefore, it is very popular spot to enjoy hiking.

Time: 8:30 to 17:00
Round Trip: 2,500 yen for adult, 1,250 yen for kids.
Best time is visit in February.

1. use shuttle bus to Zao Onsen.
2. walk to Zao Sancho Ropeway.
