Iga

Sukodo (崇廣堂) is old Samurai School remaining in Iga, Mie prefecture. It was built in 1821 by 10th lord of Iga, Todo Takasawa for training children of his Samurai. The school has both literatures and martial arts. The class hall of the literatures are still remains. It is registered as the national historic site.

There is no parking.
There is restroom.
Admission: 200 yen for adult, Collage and high school for 150 yen, Under Junior 100 yen. There is a group discount.
Time: 9:00 to 16:30

Sukodo

Sukodo is one of the remaining Samurai School built in Edo period. It was established by 10th lord of Iga, Todo Takasawa. He built both Budo school and literature school. All childrens of his Samurai came at this school. To train martial arts, he invited many budo masters in this school and gave them their own dojo in Sukodo. In literature, unlike other Samurai school, there is no Confucius's Mausoleum.

Today, only literature's class hall is remainning.
