Hiking at Mt. Tanigawadake (谷川岳ハイキング) is one of the popular hiking in Kanto region. It is chosen as one of the 100 best Japanese mountains. Mt. Tanigawadake is 1,977m tall and located in Northern Gunma Prefecture. It has a great view of mountain lines. You can use a ropeway to reach Tenjindaira which is 1,319m from the sea level. It will take about 5 hours round trips.

Round trip: 3,000 Yen for adults, and 1,500 Yen for kids.
Time: 8:00 to 17:00 7:00(at the weekend and holiday)

1. use JR Joetsuline to Minakami Station.
2. use a local bus to Tanigawadake Ropeway.
