Toyokoawa Inari (豊川稲荷) is one of the Soto Buddhism Temple located in Toyokawa, Aichi Prefecture. It is one of the 3 major Inari in Japan. Unlike other Inari, Toyokawa Inari is a temple. The actual name is Myogonji Temple. As the great god for the business, about 5 million people visit this temple. There are a huge main hall and many other great structures that are registered as the important cultural assets. There is a graveyard for Inari, the fox.

Toyokoawa Inari
Myogonji Temple, a.k.a. Toyokawa Inari, is Soto Buddhism Temple located in Toyokawa, Aichi Prefecture. It is considered as one of the 3 major Inari in Japan. This temple was established in 1441. It enshrines Dakiniten that is also considered as Inari in Buddhism. Therefore, during the time when Shinto and Buddhism are merged as one religion, Toyokawa Inari became so popular.


Somon, the main gate
It was constructed in 1656. The wooden doors are made from over 1000 years old tree. The carvings are made by Suwano Washiro.

Sanmon Gate
Constructed in 1536 by Imagawa Yoshimoto.

Okunoin
Prefecture in 1814. The carvings ares also made by Suwano Washiro.
