Yagyu Samurai House

Yagyu Samurai House (柳生藩家老屋敷) is the only remaining Samurai House in Nara. It is located in Yagyu Village, Nara Prefecture. This house was constructed in 1848 by Oyamada, the lord of the Yagyu Domain. It displays the relics of the Yagyu Domain.

There is public parking nearby. There is a restroom.
Admission: 350 yen for adult, 170 yen for under high school.
There is a group discount.
Time: 9:00 to 17:00 (last entry 16:30)

Yagyu Samurai House
Yagyuhan Karo House is one of the remaining Samurai house located in Yagyu, Nara Prefecture. This house was high-rank samurai of the Yagyu domain. The owner was Oyamada clan and huge stone walls are constructed in 1841. The house was constructed in 1848.

It is the only remaining Samurai House in Nara. It has a large gate, the main house and the back garden. The garden has a great view of the Yagyu village.
