Fukui Prefecture (福井県) is located in Chubu region. It is also considered as Hokuriku region. The prefecture surrounds Wakasa Bay, and facing the sea of Japan. The entire Fukui are categorized the special heavy snow country, and especially, Ono, Katsuyama and other eastern cities are one of the heaviest snow spots in Japan. Fukui is also a heavy rain spot. Historically, the lords of Fukui always became very powerful and many of them appeared in each periods. Today, It has great sea products of Wakasa Bay and sea of Japan. There are many historic sites and nature spots at Bay area.
