Genbi Valley (厳美渓) is one of the scenic beauties of Hiraizumi, Iwate prefecture. It is very popular sightseeing spots for long time. It is designated as the national scenic beauty of Japan. There are many waterfalls, pot holes and unique rocks.

Genbi Valley was formed by the ash of the eruption of Mt. Kurikoma. Those huge rocks of lava were corrode by Iwai River, and created many unique rocks, waterfalls and pot holes.
It is very popular for long time, and today, it is very famous now since it is located nearby Hiraizumi.
