Miyamoto Musashi, the famous sword master, used to do Zazen on this stone. Top of the stone has two Tatami size of space. He used to do Zazen here and travel to Reigan cave to write Gorin no Sho.
Taniozaki Bairin Park (谷尾崎梅林公園) is a plum forest located in Kumamoto. It is one of the Musashi related spots in Kumamoto. From late February to early March, plums bloom in this park.
