Mt Mitsutouge (三つ峠) is one of the popular hiking spot in Yamanashi. It has a great view of Mt Fuji. Mitsutoge means three peaks. It is the name of three mountains, Mt Kaiun, Mt Misutaka and Mt Kinashi. It is one of the Shugendo mountain. It is one of the 200 and 300 best mountains in Japan.

It is about 6 hours of trekking.

0. at Fujisan Station.
1. use Fujikyu line to Mitsutoge.

There are couple of trekking routes to the top of Mt Mitsutoge. The route from Mitsutoge Station is very hard, but it has many historic sites. The route from Mt. Tenjo is very long but slope is very easy. You can also hike from Sasago Station.
